Tesla Model 3 – $400,000/ 5 years

Seriously, why does Thai police spent too much money on only seven electric vehicles? If we extract the price from invoice then one Tesla Model 3 will cost around 12 million Thai Baht ($400,000) which is double price of Tesla Roadster. Plus, this price is a leasing price not purchasing price.

Would you like to spend $400,000 to lease Tesla Model 3 for five years? Even if they make a discount for 50% by removing all patrol equipment which will come down to $200,000 per car per 5 years. Are you still interest on this deal?

Why Are Tesla Cars So Expensive in Thailand?

No one can explain us about this expensive price tag yet, but we knew that Thailand doesn’t like Tesla very much because it might destroy Thai car manufacturers who want to stay with fossil car’s business as long as possible.

Note : Gasoline cars have more than 3,000 parts, but EV cars have only 80-120 parts.

Thai youtuber who review Tesla Model 3 claims that the least expensive Tesla Model 3 Standard Range in Thai market will cost around 3.5 million baht($116,000) and the long range version will start at 4 million baht ($133,333) which is almost triple price of Tesla Model 3 long range version in US market.
