A concerned individual<\/a> in the BYD Thailand Facebook group recently posted about a brake rotor cracking issue, leading to similar reports from over 16 people, highlighting a concerning and uncommon problem for the car model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The problem is a cracked brake rotor that has only been reported to occur in the two front wheels of the BYD Atto3 in Thailand. The cause of the cracking is yet to be determined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you report the issue to a BYD dealership, they will fix it for free. However, a mechanic<\/a> at a BYD dealership claimed that this is a wear and tear issue, not a cracking issue, and they will only “\u0e40\u0e08\u0e35\u0e22\u0e23\u0e08\u0e32\u0e19\u0e40\u0e1a\u0e23\u0e04” (grinding the brake rotor) instead of replacing it. The mechanic also stated that the brake rotor of the BYD Atto3 is thicker than that of other eco cars in the market, so there is no need to worry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
