อ้างอิงจาก China’s State Administration for Market Regulation ได้ออกมาบอกให้ Tesla ทำการ recall (เรียกรถกลับไปซ่อม)มากกว่า 435,000 คันเนื่องจากปัญหาไฟเบรคหลังอาจจะไม่ทำงานข้างใดข้างหนึ่งในเวลากลางคืน
ปัญหา Recall ครั้งนี้คืออะไร?
“For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, during the process of waking up from the parking state, the software of the vehicle’s position lights may have an error when initializing internal parameters, resulting in the position lights on one or both sides of the rear of the vehicle not being able to light up. Occasional failure of position marker lights in a dark environment will reduce the visibility of the vehicle, and in extreme cases will increase the risk of vehicle collision accidents, posing safety hazards.”
ทางการจีนได้ตรวจพบ recall นี้ว่า เวลารถยนต์ Tesla ถูกปลุกขึ้นมาจาก parking state(สถานะกำลังจอดอยู่) ตัว software ของรถมันจะ error (ทำงานผิดพลาด) บ่อยๆ เช่น ไฟท้ายไม่ติดข้างนึงหรือบางทีไม่ติดทั้งสองข้าง ซึ่งจะเป็นภัยอันตรายให้กับผู้ขับขี่ช่วงเวลากลางคืน อันนี้เป็นภัยอันตรายร้ายแรงอย่างมากเพราะมันจะนำพามาสู่อุบัติเหตุบนท้องถนนกับผู้ขับขี่สัญจรไปมา

หลังจากที่ China’s State Administration for Market Regulation ได้ประกาศออกมาทันทีก็มีผลบังคับใช้ให้ Tesla ทำการซ่อมไฟท้ายรถยนต์ของตนเองทันทีทางเทสล่าก็ดำเนินการทันที
ซ่อมเสร็จภายใน 1 วัน, ฟรีทันที, ไม่ต้องเอารถเข้าศูนย์ฯ
“Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will use the vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) technology to upgrade the recalled vehicles to 2022.40 or later software free of charge, and users can complete the software upgrade without going to the store. For vehicles that cannot be recalled through vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) technology, Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will contact relevant users through the Tesla Service Center to upgrade the software for the vehicle free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.”
Tesla (เซี่ยงไฮ้) ได้ประกาศสร้างตัวซ่อม recall นี้ออกมาทันทีพร้อมกับเสนอแนวทางการแก้ไขให้กับผู้ใช้งานทุกท่านโดยผ่าน remote upgrade (OTA) หรือการอัพเดทรถผ่าน wifi หรือ internet บ้านของท่านเป็น software Version 2022.40 หรือใหม่กว่านั้น (มีผลเรียบร้อยแล้ว) ซึ่งผู้ใช้งานทุกท่านจะได้รับการแก้ไข recall ตัวนี้เรียบร้อยแล้ว ถ้าผู้ใช้งานรถคันไหนไม่ได้ update ใหม่ตัวนี้ก็ติดต่อ Tesla มาโดยตรงเดี๋ยวทาง Tesla Service Center จะทำการยิง software update จากศูนย์แม่ไปยังตัวรถให้ฟรีไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย – Tesla Shanghai

ตอนนี้แหล่งข่าวจากจีนและอเมริกาแจ้งว่า ผู้ใช้งาน Tesla ทุกคนได้ software update กันทั่วหน้าเรียบร้อยแล้วหลังจากทางการจีนปล่อยข่าวเรื่อง recall ตัวนี้ออกมา
การซ่อมรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าของ Tesla แบบ recall นั้นส่วนใหญ่จะซ่อมผ่าน software update แบบนี้แหละครับ ถือว่าเป็นการซ่อมรถยนต์ครั้งใหญ่ที่รวดเร็วที่สุดในโลกเลยก็ว่าได้

การ recall ครั้งนี้ทางบริษัทจะต้องเสียเงินไม่ต่ำกว่า 435 ล้านบาท(คิดเล่น ๆ ว่าคันนึงมีค่าใช้จ่าย 1,000 บาทในการดำเนินการให้พนักงานประจำศูนย์ฯ install software หรือปรับแต่งรถให้เหมาะสมกับ recall ตัวนี้) และเสียเวลาขั้นต่ำ(รวมกันทุกศูนย์ฯ) 435,000 ชั่วโมงครับ
